What's up! My name is Sam, I'm 35 and identify as a fish. I've played poker since I turned 18 and played professionally for 7-8 years of my adult life (pre solvers). The years in between then and now were spent working as a chef on tour in the music biz (final tour i did was the Rolling Stones) before moving onto films (final film I did was the new Bond) and then COVID happened... I initially went back to poker during the first lockdown with an out of date skillset and a bad work life balance with almost no time devoted towards studying. After a bad run and about a -10k downswing I decided to put a stop to playing and study theory as a hobby until I felt confident in my game again. This blog is being started with the intention of detailing my progress as I work towards becoming a breakeven player and spin up a bankroll for a US trip next year with some banter and strategy sprinkled in. Most of my volume will be in cash with some MTT punts and occasional sports betting. My return to the tables in September started off hot and I even managed to bink a UOS low rebuy for +£1k! Stubbe's Bundesliga Corner
It all started back in the 2000/2001 season, when the Danish forward Ebbe Sand had a fantastic season at Schalke 04. My interest was aroused; I read a lot about Schalke and the Bundesliga, and I started watching a lot of games as well. It didn't take long, before I was hooked - I had become a Bundesliga junkie. In the years to come, I'd spend countless hours in front of the tv and computer, watching and analyzing games, reading Bundesliga news etc. The number of Schalke matches I've missed in the last 2 years, can be counted on one hand, and I've obviously been to Gelsenkirchen a few times as well. About 5-6 years ago I started betting on the Bundesliga. I got off to a less than optimal start, but I learned a lot and my game slowly improved. A few years later I had my own Bundesliga betting blog with a ROI of +10, and I was also a Bundesliga expert at the largest Danish betting community for a short while. When I started working for Unibet, I didn't feel like I had the time to bet seriously anymore, and for almost a year, I didn't place a single bet. Today I'm only betting for the entertainment, but I like to believe, that I've still got the ability to spot a bet with value. I'm going to challenge myself, and will post a few Bundesliga bets every week, with the goal of creating a small profit. I'll keep score of the bets in this post. As there's quite a long time till the next Bundesliga game, I'll temporarily be using this thread to share my view on transfers, season bets and anything Bundesliga, that I find interesting. Fliproll rankings
Hi,
I wonder how the rankings/results of a fliproll are determined when players bust at the same time. I am seeing things that don't make sense.
Concrete situation: fliproll, 9max, 37 players, 10 win a ticket.
For starters, the table balancing seems wrong, as there were 9 players at my table. 37 players means that there are 5 tables (as 4x9 = 36 so you cannot fit them on 4 tables). If it is 5 tables, then this should be 3x7 + 2x8.
Second, the ranking seems to make no sense to me. The player in last place had the 2nd best hand at our table. How can he be ranked lower than 7 other players who had a worse hand? The fact that there are only 5 tables, means that there are also 5 tickets that will go out to players that bust in the first hand. So the ordering of all players busting in the first hand is quite crucial.
@Stubbe-Unibet I'm talking about Game #2155713393. The player with 9c4c has the 2nd best hand at the table, yet in the tournament results he shows up last.

These Are the Voyages...
Hi folks. Haven't been playing poker a lot during COVID due to some major obstacles, but getting back to it. Last year just 124h of poker and 445 MTTs (probably less than any year since I started playing around 2005) for some minor profit. Made over 60k€ from casino and sportsbook stuff though (concentrated more on those, as they don't require as much concentration and effort). Week ago played and got a little trophy: Yesterday woke up 8 PM, decided to jump right at the deep end (playing 50 R/A's too) and got 2nd place from Odyssey. Would've been fun to start this with trophy pics (also was like 6th at Gorsky) but better than nothing: Playing on other sites too, but naturally gonna concentrate on Unibet stuff here. Option to show my hand
I would like to be able to show my cards after the hand is over. I think this option adds entertainment to the game, for example when you can show your opponent that you have bluffed him.

Loyalty / Leaderboard notifications
I'm sure I've mentioned this once in my blog before but I'll say it again here, when we reach a loyalty monetary bonus or win x amount on a leaderboard the money gets added to our bankroll at some point but without any notifications and you can check your account and the transaction history but this is such a faffing about as you can't filter on 'Premium' wins so you have to trawl through all the transactions and there can be quite a few when playing poker and topping up tables etc. 2 reasons why this annoys me are: - I want to know if I am really getting the money and I do trust Unibet but it's a matter of principle as when you play a session of poker for hours on end with multiple tables you don't really know how much you win or lose so how can you see what bonus you should have received on top of all the poker swings? Just looking at my bankroll doesn't tell me anything and because some winnings get paid a bit later, like the leaderboards it's hard to keep a tab on it. - Receiving a notification also endorses the winning feeling and knowing Unibet is a gambling platform it is kind of funny how they don't do this as why would you not want to inform your customers they have won some extra 'rakeback' or other prize money? Fix it Unibet 😋
