These Are the Voyages...
Hi folks. Haven't been playing poker a lot during COVID due to some major obstacles, but getting back to it. Last year just 124h of poker and 445 MTTs (probably less than any year since I started playing around 2005) for some minor profit. Made over 60k€ from casino and sportsbook stuff though (concentrated more on those, as they don't require as much concentration and effort). Week ago played and got a little trophy: Yesterday woke up 8 PM, decided to jump right at the deep end (playing 50 R/A's too) and got 2nd place from Odyssey. Would've been fun to start this with trophy pics (also was like 6th at Gorsky) but better than nothing: Playing on other sites too, but naturally gonna concentrate on Unibet stuff here. Those are only MTTs I am currently playing (I like Banzai Bounties too, but too bad there's no offering of that at buy-in levels 5€ up when I am playing). What's up! My name is Sam, I'm 35 and identify as a fish. I've played poker since I turned 18 and played professionally for 7-8 years of my adult life (pre solvers). The years in between then and now were spent working as a chef on tour in the music biz (final tour i did was the Rolling Stones) before moving onto films (final film I did was the new Bond) and then COVID happened... I initially went back to poker during the first lockdown with an out of date skillset and a bad work life balance with almost no time devoted towards studying. After a bad run and about a -10k downswing I decided to put a stop to playing and study theory as a hobby until I felt confident in my game again. This blog is being started with the intention of detailing my progress as I work towards becoming a breakeven player and spin up a bankroll for a US trip next year with some banter and strategy sprinkled in. Most of my volume will be in cash with some MTT punts and occasional sports betting. My return to the tables in September started off hot and I even managed to bink a UOS low rebuy for +£1k! The login window doesn't show in the poker client (just a black screen?)
When opening the poker client, I'm met with the below screen, instead of the login window. It's simply impossible for me to login, as I can't enter the username and password on this black screen. What to do?

Looking to buy a new computer mouse
I'm in the market for a new laptop mouse and I'm looking for recommendations from the community: Around 15 Euro max I'm not a gamer, I'll use it for browsing, office work and poker. Not wireless. I'm having a Cherry MC 3000 right now, however that model has issues with squeaking wheels, so I'm looking to change brands. They probably all come from China anyway but do you have brand recommendations? Also, has anyone here some experience with vertical mouses?

The client only loads the starting picture and stops there. Tried uninstalling and downloading a fresh package from the site, didn't help. Mod edit: added picture from another source, to make it obvious what issue the thread is about.

Keep Da Mind On Da Grind (an Intro) Here's the thing : after playing professionally for 13 years, we kind of go through the (daily) motions. Of clicking buttons online while grinding 7-8 tables of PLO, NLHE and Hexapro - on Unibet, of course 😉. Of meditating for a couple hours daily to clear the mind before rinse-repeating the grind. Of going to your MMA class to strike away the tilt on boxing bags like a mama-fracker (if not directly into the faces of fellow MMA colleagues). Of taking the dog to the park or by the riverside to catch fresh air and for her, well... to poop and see if she can engage in a fight, of course!!!. Of preparing a lovely dinner for the gf as you have done so for the past 4 years (and a more fast-food one for her son). Of going out on weekends for lovely romantic dinners, more casual ones when her son tags along (as well as the dog), or of simply chilling together sipping on coffee on the sunny afternoon grass, you know ❤️... until it all vanishes away 😮. The gf, her son, the dog... The lovely weekends, gone in a flash! The cosy routine, a forgotten page tucked into the book of faded memories! All that remains is the grind, that eternal grind of pouncing on the mouse with that familiar omniscient Unibet fracking beeping sound when the PLO 400 tables are SWINGING up and down like an uncontrollable manic madman while simultaneously ending up HU at several NLHE tables against that oh-TOO-familiar-obnoxious-villainous-foe and also witnessing that failed attempt of binking a 10x Hexapro on the last table 😡🙃😉. Frack, FRACK and a thousand times frack 😡😡😡 Yup, all gone. Vanished into ether. Nonetheless, in the midst of all this vast emptiness, at the horizon a breach has opened itself into a never ending sense of freedom yo 😎 On the road ahead awaits a 3 weeks layover in Las Vegas for the WSOP. The main targets will be the Millionaire Maker, the 10k PLO Championship, The Colossus and the Main Event, of course. EPT Prague will also be awaiting in December - no fracking way I am going back to Bahamas this year 😡 -, while several small series in Montreal, Punta del Este and Brazil might require a stop... But one cannot simply engage in such an MTT live itinerary without prior inner healing, right, as lest not forget that we are just recently being exposed to the tribulations of a 4 year relationship separation, so I will be going to a 10 day Vipassana meditation retreat in a couple of weeks (in Buenos Aires) before hopping over to Peru for an Ayahuasca ceremony in the Sacred Valley. Yup, poker has granted me with an uncountable amounts of privileges over the past decade+, yet that 100k+ live MTT score still remains elusive... We got this yo 😎

Loyalty / Leaderboard notifications
I'm sure I've mentioned this once in my blog before but I'll say it again here, when we reach a loyalty monetary bonus or win x amount on a leaderboard the money gets added to our bankroll at some point but without any notifications and you can check your account and the transaction history but this is such a faffing about as you can't filter on 'Premium' wins so you have to trawl through all the transactions and there can be quite a few when playing poker and topping up tables etc. 2 reasons why this annoys me are: - I want to know if I am really getting the money and I do trust Unibet but it's a matter of principle as when you play a session of poker for hours on end with multiple tables you don't really know how much you win or lose so how can you see what bonus you should have received on top of all the poker swings? Just looking at my bankroll doesn't tell me anything and because some winnings get paid a bit later, like the leaderboards it's hard to keep a tab on it. - Receiving a notification also endorses the winning feeling and knowing Unibet is a gambling platform it is kind of funny how they don't do this as why would you not want to inform your customers they have won some extra 'rakeback' or other prize money? Fix it Unibet 😋

How about we do HexaPro blackjack thing with 21 theme? When you get multipliers, you get points same as the multiplier. Like 1.5x multiplier means 1.5 points.
